The Rundown: Clear, concise and with a minimalist design, the BR03-92 Nightlum sees Bell & Ross going back to basics to deliver the quintessential pilot’s timepiece. The newest addition to the Bell & Ross fleet of watches fits in perfectly with the brand’s “circle in a square” styling. Sporting a 42mm black matte ceramic case, ultra- phosphorescent green numbers and a choice of either a grey-green calfskin or ultra-resilient black synthetic fabric strap, the BR03-92 Nightlum will appeal to pilot watch enthusiasts and aviation aficionados.
In Detail: With its simple and uncluttered design, the BR03-92 Nightlum is a fine addition to the Bell & Ross family of instrument watches. The timepiece’s 42-mm case is reminiscent of an aircraft cockpit-clock, which is emblematic of the Bell & Ross brand, with a clear and concise graphic dial for optimum readability.
The name ‘Nightlum’ evokes the timepiece’s ability to display time with the utmost efficiency under the cover of darkness. Offering unparalleled brightness, thanks to the application of green and ultra- phosphorescent Superluminova® C3 to the indexes and numbers on the dial, the BR03-92 Nightlum offers excellent luminescence that contrasts perfectly with the matte black dial. More importantly, it also provides optimal night readability even in complete darkness.
The shape and position of the four numbers on the dial: 12, 3, 6, and 9 are reminiscent of the graphics traditionally used by Bell & Ross. Behind the dial ticks the heart of this sophisticated timepiece – a self-winding calibre BR-CAL 302 movement with a 38 hour power reserve.
